May Elections set for Blooming Grove City Council & School Board

Upcoming Elections will be held on May 9, 2009.

Blooming Grove City Council.
Four candidates have signed up for three open seats.

4th of July Parade


Blooming Grove will host it's annual 4th of July Parade again this year. The parade will be held in Historic Downtown Blooming Grove on Saturday, July 4th, 2009 at 11:00 am. We are currently looking for volunteers to help coordinate and plan the Parade, as well as Vendors and Sponsors.




As usual, there will be lots of food, fun and entertainment for the whole family.

Blooming Grove VFD Website is now online!


Blooming Grove's own native son Chad Marshall has just created a website for the BG Volunteer Fire Department. The site can be visited at http://www.bgfire.net/. The new website has information about the VFD, their equipment, safety tips, contact information and more. Thanks Chad for a great job!

The Blooming Grove fire department also known as Station 34 on the Navarro county fire associations numbering system, is the head quarters for all fire dept activity. Including administrative business, training sessions and monthly meetings. The fire station also serves as a weather shelter and evacuation point for large emergency's. The fire station is 100% volunteer meaning that the station is not staffed unless there is an emergency or planed meeting. Monthly meetings are held on the forth Tuesday of every month at 7:30 p.m
